I don't know if it's fair for me to rate a book from a genre I don't normally like. I found so much of it boring because I'm not interested in boats, rowing, or Hitler. I enjoyed the personal part of the story, particularly Joe's life and relationships. The final chapters describing the actual Olympics were great, too.If you do love boats, rowing, and/or Hitler history, you'll love all of the book, not just the parts I enjoyed.
